Mt. Juliet has absorbed an enormous amount of new residential construction, and the pattern we see reflects that: a lot of early-wave driveways now reaching the age where the original specification shows, alongside new builds on lots that are harder than they look.

Lake-adjacent lots mean grade, and grade means walls. Properties running down toward either lake rarely give you a flat pad. Once a patio or drive needs more than a modest cut, you are into retaining wall territory, and the wall has to be engineered for the actual soil load rather than built to a standard detail. Drainage behind the wall is the part that decides whether it is still straight in ten years, and it is the part nobody can see afterward.

Shallow limestone across much of the county. Excavation depth varies across a single footprint here. Where rock comes up, part of the slab bears on stone and part on compressible soil. That transition has to be dealt with in the base, not discovered after the pour.

Wilson County is separate from Metro. Permitting and inspection here run through Wilson County and the City of Mt. Juliet, not Nashville. Timelines differ, and we plan the schedule around that.
