No. We take on concrete work of every size, from small slabs and repair work through full driveways and commercial flatwork. Real projects we have completed range from around $2,000 to $90,000. Tell us what you need and we will scope it honestly, including telling you when a repair makes more sense than a replacement.
Three things combine against them. Tennessee's clay-heavy soil swells and shrinks with moisture, freeze-thaw cycling stresses the slab from below, and most local pours put reinforcement flat on the ground rather than at the middle of the slab where it actually does something. Base preparation and reinforcement placement are what decide whether a driveway lasts, and they are the first things a low bid removes.
It depends on square footage, site access, how much demolition and grading is involved, the finish you choose and whether drainage work is needed. That is why we do not quote over the phone. A hand-applied technique that produces a smooth, contemporary surface exposing fine sand aggregate in a uniform pattern, rather than the standard broom finish. It was developed in California roughly thirty years ago. The method was brought east to Tennessee and taught to the Pumas crew directly. Our photo gallery has examples sorted by project type.
Most residential projects run three to five days on site: demolition and grading, forming and reinforcement, then the pour and finish. Curing is separate. Concrete reaches roughly 70 percent of its strength in the first week and full strength at about 28 days. We do not rush a cure or skip base preparation to hit a date.
